Made in USA3My mom has a small candy-making business and goes through a lot of chocolate. That chocolate comes in giant bars that have to be chopped up into small pieces before being used. She has gone through a lot of traditional ice picks and knives and chippers and specialty chocolate tools and nothing really works well for this job.
This is working amazingly well, though. It's unbreakable (certainly by chocolate), super sharp and long enough for good leverage. We gave her a large plastic cutting board to absorb the tip of the ice pick as she's chopping. I think for this purpose, the only improvement might be some moldable plastic to make a comfortable grip.
This will likely be the last chocolate chipper she will ever need.
